
In 2016 Trump won NY-22 by 15% and Republican Claudia Tenney won by over 5%. In 2018, Brindisi won by 1.6%. Our strategy was to get the campaign live on digital as early as possible out ahead of television advertising. We went up in June with disciplined messaging focused on defining Anthony as an independent voice for Upstate New York. We always stayed positive and stayed up straight through Election Day.
Towards the end of the election, the Washington Post reinforced the benefits of defining Anthony early on through digital:
