Summary

In the fall of 2023, we helped Democrats in Virginia not only hold the Senate but flip the House of Delegates – securing a majority in a state critical to protecting abortion access.

We partnered with multiple groups in races across the state – Partnering with Planned Parenthood Virginia PAC in eight districts, the Virginia League of Conservation Voters PAC in eight districts, the ACLU in eleven, as well as We the People, Counterspark, and the Virginia Latino Caucus

Working with our partners, Blueprint worked in more legislative districts and ran more content than anybody else.

The Creative

To successfully mobilize supporters and persuade swing voters, Blueprint used Abortion access and environmental messages to help deliver important wins in both the House of Delegates and the Senate.

The Results

These races were tight and ultimately decided by slim margins. Blueprint’s content helped target swing voters and pull out supporters in targeted districts like SD16, SD31, HD21, HD65, and HD97.

Democratic majorities in both chambers will protect access to abortion and help maintain Virginia’s leadership in a clean energy economy.
