Edgar initially aspired to be a video game animator, but in art school quickly became enamored of Adobe After Effects.
He worked in the Chicago area, creating motion graphic design for commercials, show openers, politics, social media, the circus, and an independent film.
Edgar would next find himself in Austin, where, in addition to various freelance and staff positions, he would take on a very short stint at SXSW as a motion designer. When they instead showed him to a video editing station, he didn't argue and plowed ahead.
Edgar then added video editing to his skillset, which also included 2D/3D animation, illustration, and compositing. He now lives in the Grand Rapids area with his charming spouse, raising two young and bright children.
When not working or looking after squirts, Edgar likes to engage with interactive media (video games) and watch his precious movies in 4K physical media because he's that guy.
